AI VTuber

IMHO, we are at the age where human existence in the virtual world is one of the consciousness. As Jean Baudrillard said, we are now at the age of Hyperreality. I believe vtuber is a part of consciousness of a human behind. Although at this stage, it is part of a role play, a kayfabe by someone. As mentioned by Zimbardo in Lucifer Effect, roleplaying when done repeatedly becomes part of that person. The roleplaying affects the real world. The persona played by the person behind becomes the part of the person itself. That's why the character becomes someone. There is an "id, ego, and superego" that becomes the character's engine. How can AI replace that engine? This part needs to be tackled by AI first. The AI needs to be able to "hallucinate", or generate random factoids, with a consistent manner. Being someone like that, it needs to be fed with the right input. Human beings the super group of sensors is constantly build its knowledge by the input from those...

Suisei on First Take

A Vtuber by the name Hoshimachi Suisei made a breakthrough by singing in First Take. She was the first Vtuber featured on a "normal" music channel. I don't know about First Take, thought.  The First Take is apparently a music channel respected by the Japanese music industry.  According to its description, artist featured on the music channel will be singing live without filter. It seems this is similar to the respectable NPR's Tiny Desk Concert. A raw, unadulterated, performance. Some people find it weird with an anime character singing without showing the real artist face. I don't think this is weird. Do you remember Gorillaz ? They did it back then. As a virtual band, they already in the music scene with their own avatar. That's why, I don't think the artist goes by an anime avatar known as Hoshimachi Suisei is weird. I mean art is weird, so be it! There is nothing wrong with going through the vtubing route. Regarding the performance, I do like it. If I...

VTuber

Generated from https://creator.nightcafe.studio/creation/2KR1yHqvqHwxXSo3kTbA Currently I'm amazed by a trend to make a podcast with an anime-styled avatar. The phenomenon referred as VTuber  is using a 2.5D style. The avatar is 3D glued on 2D background. Their content usually around singing, playing games, and chat with their viewers. As they do that live, they would connect to live payment method that will display something when people donate. In Indonesia, this culture is called "sawer". A culture that would tip the performer live. That's why, for Indonesian, this Japanese imported scene is not really alien. After I dig deeper, I found out that there are two types of affiliation. The first is a company setup that is called Vtuber Agency. The example of such agency is Maha5 and Hololive. And, to my surprise, there is also the guerilla type that called themselves independent. Personally, I'm not into these Vtubers because their design is not really original. I ...

Bus Mania

https://www.facebook.com/groups/457620199352897/permalink/468882948226622/ There is a trend in Indonesia where people love to follow and take video of bus traveling. Those people often get called as maniac by other people. The reason is because their dangerous behavior driving motorcycle without honoring the law.  They will spot a bus and will take convoy to video the bus. The dangerous thing is they often drive on the blind spot. Also, they can take all the road making all other vehicles can't get through them.  There is also a trend in Indonesia that loves to listen buses and trucks horn. They will wait on the side of the road where buses or trucks usually passing through. They will call out to any bus/truck, "Om! telolet, Om!"  which translate to, "Mister! Honk your horn, Mister." Strange addiction.

Zombie Among Us

It has been two years I work from home. In that time, 90+% of my time was spent on homes. Yes, I'm one of the scared ones. I was once a sceptic. However, many of my close relatives died. I then reassessed my beliefs about Covid-19. I was scared because the number of my close relatives made me think that our genes were on the vulnerable side against covid-19. However, many people survived from the virus.  There were reasons why they survived.  The original variants was weak. Only after the Delta, the virus became deadlier. Some people had the best fit. At the time they were contracted, their body could handle the infection. They were lucky. Some people that lost their jobs tried to deny the virus.  Some crazy zealots tried to persuade their people by watering down the covid-19. They enforced the belief that God was more powerful than covid-19.  Hah! Did they not think that God was letting the virus out? Did they think God not powerful enough to close the floodgate? I ...

Covid-19

There is a new variant of Corona virus called Covid-19. This time it beats every Corona virus that already exist, e.g. Influenza, Ebola, Sara and Mers combined in fame. Everyone in all countries panicked. In Indonesia, panic buying made mask and hand sanitizer gone. Some food ingredients gone or have skyrocketed price. Now on every building in Jakarta, the security also check the body temperature of each person that goes in. People also used mask everywhere. Which according to Singapore's spokeperson not necessary. You put mask if you are sick. The sad thing is, people started prejudice against Chinese person. This is because the epidemic was discovered from Wuhan, China. Blah! When SARS showed up, people just chill. I mean, at the time, many chicken farmers burned their chicken. It was more impactful and more dangerous than Covid-19, but we chilled. Why aren't we now? From the statistics, Covid-19 would probably killed most whom at the age of 50 or more. And ...

Political Madness

Respect dari saya untuk abang abang kopi sepeda, gak peduli gas air mata gak peduli water cannon yg penting kopi kapal api 3rb, abc mocca 4rb, good day capucino 5rb pake es pic.twitter.com/RG9HeHr6ap — 🤡 (@UncleDimas) May 21, 2019 Like the street vendor coffee in between the police and the masses, we Indonesian don't give a thought about the Indonesian political fiasco. Even thought it might seems scary, Indonesia democracy is only one big theater. We just see them fight for amusement. Well, not really an amusement. They are doing their act near my office. People around me feel terrified. On the 22th May 2019, my HR department made an order to make all of the employees go home early. My government made a decision to block some of social media using DNS hijacking. This decision made Telegram popular and random people in Indonesia learns about the existence of VPN. Meh, I think they just want to show off with I don't know what their billions of Rupiah Software. I thi...

Coco

The media wrote about China letting Coco be released on its theaters. The one reason is because of the family and ancestor tradition that the Chinese and Latino share as a common theme. Coco promotes family value and the gist of balancing dreams and family. Based on China's censorship guide, the movie should've been banned because of ghosts.   Well, actually China could flame international incident if Coco banned from mainland. I mean, come on, this movie has the heart of many Mexicans in it. A ban would sour Latino community at least. This movie researched well by the movie maker .

Al Maidah 51

This article written long time ago. Because the issue already resolved by imprisoning the late governor (Ahok), I think publishing this would still considered  ---- A viral went nuts here: The title said: Ahok: Anda Dibohongi Alqur'an Surat Al-Maidah 51 which translated as: Ahok: You are being lied by Quran's Al Maidah 51. Interestingly, the actual line actually said: "... Bapak Ibu nggak bisa pilih saya; dibohongin pake Surat Al Maidah 51 macem-macem itu...." which in English said: "... you all can't choose me; being lied using Surah Al Maidah 51 and so on." The full video: And the context started at 24:14 "... Jadi jangan percaya sama orang, 'Kan bisa aja dari hati kecil Bapak Ibu nggak bisa pilih saya. Dibohongin pake Surat Al Maidah 51 macem-macem itu..."  Which in English said: "... So don't trust just anyone. It is possible from the bottom of your heart that you all can't elect me. Being...

Make Drumpf Great Again

People were shocked when they found out that Donald Trump was winning the 2016 election. They couldn't believe what was happening. As of this writing, there are still people marching against this. Many of the US people neglected their right to vote. Considering election day in their country not a holiday, which is ridiculous, I too can't blame them for that. Someone needs to put food on the table. The most shocked people were the political comedians. You could check their Youtube accounts. Some of them might looked like having trouble to go to sleep. They all are rooting for Democratic candidate, Clinton. Funny, thought,  John Oliver admits that he might be suggesting some people to vote for Trump just for fun. Well, you could see how many celebrities reacted . Why did Trump wins? I don't want to speculate for any conspiracies, but I am interested in knowing how Trump can win elections. This is a blog entry that sums my finding so I think I want to relax my writ...

A Christmas to The Neglected

Kasih Tanpa Syarat - Christmas Celebration at Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha (edited) My Youth church had an unique idea of celebrating Christmas differently. They gave a thought of visiting a nursing house. This year, they had an idea to celebrate Christmas with many of our seniors. Last year we were going to an orphanage. The year before, we went to the streets visiting street children. This year, the core Christmas team suggested us to touch the old. Our Youth was lucky enough to have government nursing house Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha welcomed us. They let us used the auditorium for having Christmas celebration with our seniors there. Waiting to die Our Christmas committee made a brilliant idea. Before the Christmas celebration, each working day, Monday to Friday, we took shifts in small teams (three to five people) to visit the seniors. The idea behind this was for us to get to know our senior first before the celebration. Knowing them before the Christmas celebratio...

Erotic Dangdut

This video is a sub culture in Java called Dangdut Pantura. Dangdut is a downbeat music style that popular in Javanese culture derived from Hindustan. Pantura is a north region of Java island. Some people would mistakenly call this kind of performance by calling it Dangdut Koplo. That's not true. Dangdut Koplo is actually a sub genre of Funkot , a sub of House Music, with emphasis on Dangdut element. This stage play actually derived from a traditional dance Jaipong . There is nothing lewd from Jaipong. The dancer play her body elegantly as the music makes this mystically charming. An art that enticing yet seems spiritual. The Stage Show Unfortunately, this dance grow on people's culture as sexually innuendo. I don't know since when but it was there since long a go. In people's show, e.g. traditional wedding, circumcision and so on, they often invited traditional band to perform this dance. Thanks to a culture called Saweran combined with Dangdut   the dance be...

Pemurnian Agama

Seperti Ayatullah Khomenei menggusur rekan-rekan Revolusi Irannya. Seperti Anwar Ibrahim dipenjarakan dengan tuduhan seksual. Seperti Warga yang memperkosa seorang Wanita yang ketahuan berzinah. Bacaan Lebih Lanjut: Manifesto Perjuangan Partai Gerindra, p. 40. Indonesia: A Violent Culture?

Stop The Terror

#StopTheTerror An Israeli TV producer post an Instagram picture to call all the offended party to stop the violence . The Israeli government bombarded Gaza in a response for series of rocket barrage by Hamas, the ruler of Gaza strip. This paragraph from the linked article explain it well: Isreal began air raids  after Gaza's Hamas rulers fired rockets into the country earlier this November. At the time of publication, 840 citizens in Gaza have been injured from the attacks, while another 113 Palestinians have been killed. In Israel, three fatalities were reported and dozens have been wounded. Though over 1,000 rockets have been launched from Gaza, the death rate may remain low in Israel due to Israel's  state-of-the-art missile defense system . Yes, both sides have casualties, mentally and physically. Civillians are terrified from both sides. Both Are Wrong, So Stahp! This hate generator between both sides are nothing but interests for some parties involved. Hamas as...

Rohingya

To my friends, In my search about the Rohingya incident, I stumbled across this article . As a counter, I stumbled upon a thread at  Forum Kompas (Bahasa Indonesia)  about Rohingya incident. The blog itself called about a conspiracy to desecrated the integrity of Burmanese with pictures taken from another unrelated incident . Even Aung San Suu Kyi remain silent and take careful note about it. First of all, this is not about religion in conflict, but a country that has apartheid political system. I can assume you that Rohingya is not the first one. Even in Cambodia there are villages that are not having nationality. In these poor villages, people would sell their 7-8 year old daughters as sex slaves. And even in Indonesia, people from Ahmadiyah are being torn and chased out from their own houses. Churches having difficulties, even the famous GKI Yasmin that won the case but the court's decision is being hold. Yeah, there is this law immunity when against certain ...

An Evolution of Politics in Indonesia

It has been a while when Indonesia's politics was held hostage by Indonesian political parties. This pseudo democracy had many examples where people voice are being overridden by a group of selfish people. They never listened to people yet they always said they were listening to people. What did the winning parties do? They would installed their people in many government posts. Posts that would generated income for their party and brought many influences were preferable. They sold the country for their own purposes. Have they really listened to people? The house of representatives is a joke to democracy. They never welcomed people to voice their opinions. They barricaded the entrances and let the people in the street far away from their office. Their frontyard are very wide, but it is only for decoration. Anyway, all the glory in winning an election made parties compete each other in distasteful ways. Each of them stabbed each other. That was why, Indonesia never had...

Women Have It All

The Colbert Report Get More: Colbert Report Full Episodes , Political Humor & Satire Blog , Video Archive There is a good reason why women can't have it all. Anne-Marie Slaughter (a professor from Princeton U.) said that most women who love her family would done 2/3 of the household and 2/3 of caring children. So, in order to have both career and family, she must be: 1) sleepless; 2) extremely rich; and 3) self-employee. I too thought the the same thing, but in Indonesia might have the extreme thing. One of the parents must forget his/her dream and choose to responsible for the family. Your career would demand you a lot of time, so does the family. In here, most of the women would be the one that yield. Thinking from the biological practice, women has to have carry the baby around for nine months. A year or two her milk needed by the baby. Some take workarounds like breast-feading it from a bottle or using formula milk. I don't agree on both methods for normal circumstance...

Reboot

I was furious when someone took a better picture than me. It was a photo shoot and the original photographer was going somewhere and left the gear. Some of us  was playing with his gear. We were trying to take a picture of us jumping. I took the initiative to be the photographer. The person in question was telling me what to do with the camera. Geez, the person was a Nikon holder and the camera was Canon 550D. I was kinda irritated when a Nikon holder told me about how to use a Canon. I have played with Canon camera a long time. My picture was kind of post-jump. But, when the person redo the process, the person took a better moment. I took my defeat by sit down and rethink, furiously. I was furious because if I was given a second chance to take the picture, I could produced better picture. I mean,  something that made my rage not coming out was this: if we compare the two pictures, my picture had the object locked in the middle while the person's object was too high...

Facebook Parenting, Parents and Kids and Teh Internet

I've watched "Facebook Parenting: for the troubled teen for a long time. But, an article by Forbes  discussing a parody version by Barely Political made me took a moment to think this seriously. This problem is deep. At first, I don't take this seriously because I don't think it is possible to have college while having senior at school. But, after a little searching, I found out that it is indeed possible in US, especially in suburban and community college . He isn't bluffing! That program is especially made for children pressed with hard times. I respect this man's proposition. He might have a hard time and hard earned lesson to establish his life. He might the type of person that want to have his hard earned money spent well enough for his family. He might be the type of people that work hard so that his children might not having the hard way like him. Not that I'm trying to feel great, but that's what happens with baby boomers generation. We...
