Man, I realize that something is degrading in my life. That is my programming skills! It's been months I haven't code something. I have too much focus on the analytic skills and beyond so I haven't touch the programming skills, yet. This is what I realise when I installed WordpressMU and saw the Drupal setup by Iang. Hmm.. I should get more exercise.

We're trying to build UI Blog using WordpressMU. Right now it has been set with reverse dns, with the same FQDN with my blog machine here. So, because I can't access my running blog, I'll just put the detail here. Horay, my IBM xServer runs debian SID with Xen and Vserver enabled kernel. It runs good and the hardware problems never arise again, hopefully ever. I have one Xen guest running a MySQL server now and another one running WordpressMU. It's set now, download some themes, done! Now, the problem is: How to aggregate? I'm trying to setup a planet, but it seems I have encounter difficulties. Ow, where is Iang ? He isn't online.... How to set it up? I'm clueless... But, why can't people see that we are selling our country just to seek pleasure over these years. How many people have the fund to have LEGAL software? (Either FOSS or Props) When we use the illegal s/w, we put aside our law. We implement the thinking that law can be overidden. We are in the bottom level of trust in our law. Law is the fundamental of a country. Thus, the law is... Ah, that's enough! No more advocating the truth. Why should I? Eroupeans and other nations around the world is trying to migrate into FOSS system. But, why country such as Indonesia does not have any idealism to put this law enforcement into action? I hate people that protesting card playing in the campuss. C'mon, it's even not a sin to play card. People can even gamble through sports (e.g. soccer ma...

We dine in Izzy. Horay, I can get InfoLINUX there. Mr Edward already off and today we just learn to optimize the code and other aspect of smartcard from him. And then, Mr Jo (I don't know his real name) started from 3 pm is teaching us the off card application that UI gonna use. There is a REAL issue that we are getting from the card. It is about some policy that UI must conform with world standard such as ISO or Belgium something.... Sorry, it's about the security mechanism that will compromise the UI Smartcard. There are some benefits that UI can have from smartcard. But, it means there must be a bigger revitalization of facilities in whole UI. Big investation, but it will get hits in the future, very big hit! Cool... But, there are also some beneficial with today's infrastructure in UI can be handled in term of optimize it with Smartcard management. OK, now I'm away from Xen or any virtualization. I have a training starting from monday in Hotel Binakarsa. The training is about smartcard and held by Finnet Indonesia (a child from Telkom). We are kindly managed by Mr. Martin. He's a nice person, I kinda like him (not in term of J*s20 or J**b20). The first two and a half day, we're playing the bottom knowledge of smartcard. Programming it up! The smartcard we are using is G&D's (a german company). It's based on Java Smartcard and GP 2.1.1 (or 2.2.1?). Still, we learned OP 2.0.1' (OP 2.0.1 enhanced by VISA). The software we use is SmartCafe 3.0 SP2. It's quite delicated to use the software. We must provide a dongel otherwise we cannot use it! Based on this article , I have managed to make Xen works like a charm. I use Debian Etch. I installed it from netinst. I just pick standart installation with no desktop or any server. Then, I install: # apt-get install xorg # apt-get install openbox openbox-theme obconf pypanel The last three is optional, but it doesn't hurt if I have one. I use pypanel as taskbar because it's lightweight. Well, if you want, you could use the proper ViM version, not the default tiny: # apt-get remove vim-tiny # apt-get install vim Some suggest to install xdm or (K)/(G)DM, but I prefer to use startx script. # apt-get install xen-linux-system-2.6.17-2-xen-686 xen-utils-3.0-unstable-1 xen-ioemu-3.0-unstable xen-docs-3.0-unstable bridge-utils libc6-xen file xen-tools I add xen-tools, because it isn't installed by default. Okay, this review is purely subjective. We only can try para-virtualizaton because of hardware limitation We have tried Xen on these platform: -> Debian Sarge -> Debian Etch -> Ubuntu Dapper -> Ubuntu Edgy -> Fedora Core 6 -> OpenSUSE 10.1 -> Xen Demo CD The most distro I find amusing is OpenSUSE. It has Xen capable YaST so we can manage the Xen from YaST. The downside of this distro is the installation time take long time compared others. Fedora Core 6 (FC6) has a nice graphical boot. It has Xen by default, but the downside is we cannot install another distro. It has it's own tool. The best distro goes to Xen Demo CD. But, it can't be installed into harddrive. It needs some tweaks. :)) Sarge and Dapper use source install. Etch and Edgy have their built kernel but no graphical tools. You have to download and use XenMan. It is great I think.
