Good Songs (ala JP)

Gile, fill mereka keren abiz! Trus ada lagi grup Nasyid cewek gitu, harmonisasinya gila abis. Ah, kenapa justru band-band bernafaskan agama memiliki seni musik yang bagus? Duh, kalo dibandingin sama grup band sekuler Indonesia sekarang, jauuuh banget. Band Indonesia itu bikin lagu pasti formatnya sama: Intro -> Bait -> Reff -> Bait -> Reff -> Gita...

Usability

I hate browser's auto focus (though my evil sight dwells, hehehehe). I mean, isn't it annoying when you typed your password and then it bulb in the username. Ups, by accident you pressed ENTER button and you are using public internet cafe... Voila, with autocomplete, your password is stored and nice ppl can see your password... Hehehe... I mean, *REALLY* nice guys like me who don't sell any of your email to spammers, use it to be registered to some weird site, or use it to anonymize site to crack around the globe using sum1 id. Why not browsers checked any activities from input dev (such keyb, moz, etc) and sniffing any changin' in forms and stop the auto focus? This is one of the issues of USABILITY. GNOME have their own usability project that make any apps in gnome standardised. Mind ur UI and apps behavior when developing new s/w. Well, this is the opening, I am gettin' bored here. So, maybe next time I'll post what I learned.

Just Crappy Post!

Libanon doesn't like Hezbollah in her territory. Hezb is funded by Iranians and armed by Suriah. That's way Libanon *never* declare war against Isreali and why the Arabs doesn't interfere much with it and Israel respects Lebanon by not entering the country's domain but just act a 'controlled air bombing'. I mean, would Indonesian army loves civilians like GAM in our territory whom invading Malaysia? That's why the victims were civilian (armed civilians). I don't like Israel, but using children and old womens as living bombs surely doesn't make Palestinians and Hezb heroes. I think this is what the Israeli thinks: "u know how terrorists work. Sure, they only grab 1 soldier and next they kidnapped a whole platoon as hostages. So why not declares war against them." Hmm.. if Hezb is unarmed and the Palestinian militians release the hostages. These might be used by UN to pressed Israeli to stop the bombing. I hate Middle East conflicts. They mad...

Hospital-free

I was hospitalised last week because of air stuck in my chest, pressing my right lung. It was sure a not^3 very good exp. You know, having your chest drilled and plugged with cateter, sure felt like Roboman... Btw, I hate local anesthesy! I can still saw they drew a hole from my body and I just watched my right chest spilled blood! And then, you could see a cateter planted to your body. Yeah, nice exp (he2x I didn't look there anyway...). Btw, my mother said I was brighter when my buddies came. So, I must thanx to all of you who gave me strength. To all my buddies in Fasilkom, thx alot! They came and gave me comfort. Thx also my buddies that didn't come. Your SMS and prayers helped me alot. Sorry just can answer 3 alphabeths. THX. My doctor still doesn't know what the cause of my illness. He still think I am a junkie. Hah, another misjugded people.... Am I a wheedcracker? ;-(

CCR

People, why are you offended by other so easily? This is the fact 'bout people: Act by someone is led by the way the person perceived the world. I mean, how could you convinced someone whom know about the rainbow from a text book? The person may only knew the primer color only (mejikuhibiniu in Indonesian). We, whom may be the people whom seen it directly after the rain, may know that the rainbow has more colors than the text book. Evenmore, there are person that knows about the rain about the big rains that comes before the rainbow. Many people do not know that they offend people by their doing. With the knowledge they know, they judge, they presume, they act. Sometimes, what they though of goodness bring collitions to other whom with coincidence have different point of view. This condition is like two blind man guessing the form of an elephant from different sides. Actually, many times the two sides have the right thing. The only thing that make them not into covenant is they hav...

True Expectation

What is your expectation? A: Some say, somewhere in the top of career. For what reason? A: For bling-bling and fame of the world. Why? A: Cause it makes happiness to have everything needed. --- Sadly, the more paycheck received, greater is the expectation you must meet. That's why, people with high salary is at unstable position. Evenmore, they are pushed until the limit. Give me one example of TRULY HAPPY family that have both husband and wive work. Such family does not exists. If they had children, their children have problems with lives. Even if one of the children survived, the person tends to be blurry and somewhat repeat the mistake in different form. Why? This is what psychologist said as trauma. Human tend to give what he have been given. What is the happiness of being late from work? Does the sleeping pills bring you happiness? Get drunk solves your problem? Uneasy relationship is a bless? Insomnia brings you good life? Stress? Worn out? etc.. etc.. etc...If that is the ha...

Amarok 1.4.1 Launched

From amarok.kde.org: Scientists have discovered a new species, a species that doesn't eat, doesn't sleep, and doesn't socialize. They have named this species Amarok developers. These developers have been hard at work preparing version 1.4.1 of world's "fastest" forwarding media player in a small Netherlands town, Annahoeve. Its latest features that *NONE* of other apps have out there: 1. Advanced Tag Features. Move anywhere your media, as long as it still in Amarok's path, it still recognised. 2. Full last.fm support. Yay! Available on DApper using kubuntu repo. Just follow the link in amarok.kde.org.

That's Weird

Take a look at Ilham's posting in planet: with the original post: Why the encoding is different? Why Firefox doesn't render well in planet, but does its job well in the original site? Well, I think because of this one: META HTTP-EQUIV = "Content-Type" CONTENT = "text/html; charset=UTF-8" > It is one of the html head meta. But, it's not affecting well when I tried to simulate it. Hmm... After using convmv and Kate (use the 2 tools differently), the file was forced to be considered as UTF-8. Still, the text is not human readable (though little amount of character was rendered nicely). And then, when I used ViM, the text was rendered the same. So, I came to a conclusion with 2 possibilities: I conclude that our RSS machine, which is planet, uses 8-bit ISO 8859-1 encoding (Latin-1) as default encoding. Thus, the XML was parsed into Latin-1, not a 8-bit UTF-8 encoding. The fault is on the RSS Machine. Firefox mistakenly read the file as ISO 8859-1 and co...

Miss me.

My skills are fading. If I remembered what I used to capable of, it seems like a hoax. I don't remember how did my abilities fade? I remember, I once capable how to code in PHP. Today, I find myself troubled with my own code. I remember, I once laugh at anyone whom opposed to Christian faith. Today, I barely answer questions from Ahmed Deedat. I remember, I once have the ability to control my emotions. Today, I find myself loosing my inner esteem. I remember, I once capable of persuade. Today, I don't even understand what my heart wants. I remember, I once not able to mad, sad, laugh. Today, what feeling beneath none is mine to persuade. So, who am I these days??? I miss the old me. (minus the antisocial me)

Yippie!

U know why I'm happy? It's my Dapper, it's shines! I upgraded my KDE to 3.5. 3 with Kubuntu repo at kubuntu.org God, how I amazed with the koffice. Bye, Openoffice.org, I don't need anymore memory hogs like you. Especially troublesome like u since the SUN and Microsoft agreement toward new user. No, thanks, I stick with the open mind. Amarok 1.4.0. Gosh! It's new look astonishing! I like how the player runs. Viz run better, still need more devel since it doesn't REALLY fullscreen when it should be (using libvisual). Where is the dynamic mode? Btw, good idea orginizing things by index, BUT, I like to know how could I manage my music based on the DIRECTORY where the songs stored. I have old mp3s from CD and I want to rename it. And the story will continue. Now, time to play.

UI Walking-Walking

Just yesterday (Friday, 30th June 2006) , I and two of my friends (Eko and Olin) having a good morning walk accross UI. Our route began from Fasilkom, started from 1235. We walked .... [ARGH!] I'm gettin' the lame of me. So, I'm not in the mood to tell the whole story. Just summarize what we have encountered: 1. Walking through forest path. 2. Seeing variety of plants, including minyak kayu putih (dunno the English word for it). 3. *GREAT* views as we walk near the big pond (or is it a lake?). 4. We cought ourselves in a tower and see the surrounding from above, thrilling but fun though. 5. We saved 2 fishes, how on earth they could off shores and still manage to alive in such extreme env and got away? 6. Eat at Asrama. Many great things we encountered and I have no mood to explain. One thing we missed, we didn't bring any camera. The views are great. We would like do the same next Friday. That walk is worth a lot.
