Renicing PDF Font in Linux

Setelah lama LFS gue terkapar, akhirnya dia bisa jalan lagi. Terus, kemarin malam gue iseng-iseng ngebuka CD infoLINUX gue. Nah, ada tutorial dengan format PDF di dalamnya. Pas gue buka di GPDF (gnome PDF), setingannya kacau balau sekali. Terus gue buka pdf yang lain, eh, ada yang beres dan ada yang kagak.

Setelah gue pelajari, ternyata di gnome PDF, berkas PDF yang hurufnya tidak ada di sistem, diganti dengan huruf subtitusi yaitu huruf ghostscript yang ada di folder /usr/share/ghostscript/fonts. Sayangnya, GPDF gak punya setingan buat ganti huruf default.

Yah, udah, iseng-iseng gue ekstrak lagi src GPDF (2.8.1) dari gnome 2.8 gue. Terus gue pelajari. Nah, gue ketemu di bagian global config di folder xpdf. Gue iseng2 ganti source code-nya, tapi gagal (ntah, gue males lanjutin mungkin, sih, bisa).

Tapi, singkat cerita, gue ketemu ide. Kayaknya GPDF juga pake X Window buat ngerender font. Yah, udah, gue coba tambahin direktori /usr/share/ghostscript/fonts ke /etc/xorg.conf (gue pake xorg, kalo XFree nama berkas setingnya XF86CONFIG-4).

Kayaknya gak berhasil, sih. Soalnya gue udah restart tapi gak berubah. Terus, gue inget, X gue khan udah pake fontconfig dan freetype. Yah, udah, gue tambahin aja itu direktori ke berkas /etc/fonts/local.conf.

Oh, iya, gue juga membuka terminal terus gue cd ke direktori itu. Terus di direktori itu, sebagai root tentunya, gue panggil perintah:

# fc-cache

Nah, dari perintah itu, muncul 2 berkas baru yang berisi informasi huruf yang ada di direktori itu. Terus, gue buka salah satunya, crash, deh, kompie gue (maksudnya X nya gak jalan, tapi XMMS tetap jalan dan maenin lagu). Gak masalah, soalnya gue pake reiser4. Gue tinggal pencet restart, trus, login lagi. Jadi, deh, huruf-huruf yang keren abis, beybe.

Jadi, sebenarnya gue tinggal restart X, udah, deh, jadi, deh, hurufnya.

TODO : Benerin library GNOME (ini yang bikin crash), gue dulu pas lagi bikin LFS, iseng-iseng pake lib 2.4, terus sekarang gue pake lib 2.6. Kayaknya ada lib yang gak kompatibel. Apa mendingan gue bikin ulang LFS gue, yah?

Vibe Coding Workflow

I am currently working for having A.I. workflow for generating projects. There are two things that need to be tackled for that: 1) hallucinations; and 2) old codes. I have met several patterns to tackle those two and just need to formulate the patterns into a general flow.
