AI VTuber

IMHO, we are at the age where human existence in the virtual world is one of the consciousness. As Jean Baudrillard said, we are now at the age of Hyperreality. I believe vtuber is a part of consciousness of a human behind. Although at this stage, it is part of a role play, a kayfabe by someone. As mentioned by Zimbardo in Lucifer Effect, roleplaying when done repeatedly becomes part of that person. The roleplaying affects the real world. The persona played by the person behind becomes the part of the person itself. That's why the character becomes someone. There is an "id, ego, and superego" that becomes the character's engine. How can AI replace that engine? This part needs to be tackled by AI first. The AI needs to be able to "hallucinate", or generate random factoids, with a consistent manner. Being someone like that, it needs to be fed with the right input. Human beings the super group of sensors is constantly build its knowledge by the input from those...

A.I. and the challenges

If you asked me about A.I., I would say that the real problem is about making it ethical. We want a bias A.I., not the straight A.I.. I mean, if you see the data, you would have non-certain privileged skin tone people "problematic" based on the cases. In a scenario where A.I. the first filter, we will have them marginalized. However, we as human have a bias for working towards equality. We boost certain values to make the playing field more equal for all. Well, scientists, be it a STEM and social, it's our job together to shape the best algorithm for A.I. and build that Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) towards equality. A.I. should be a problem of culture as we have been integrating cyber reality into our society. Technology is no longer a problem of math and algorithm, it's also lives and consciousness for many people. As Baudrillard once said, we are now living in a Hyperreality. Let's build our hyperreality on equality.

[MV] Bibir yang Telah Dicuri - JKT48

Why an international brand like JKT48 produced a Karaoke-like MIDI music?

Tenxi, Naykilla & Jemsii - Garam & Madu (Sakit Dadaku)

The lyrics are not my favorite. It's more than innuendo, feels like literally a horny thought. But, what I respect from this song is that they mixed Dancehall, especially Downbeat Reggeaton with Koplo. It's a good exploration to introduce a new music in the Indonesia musicscape. The trap beat and the typical dancehall stylized vocal really mixed well together with the song. I wonder why after these years of dancehall dominance, Indonesia just produce this kind of music?

My Take on Risu's career as a Singer

Risu made a tweet addressing some of the jab at her career choices in Hololive. The jab was made by people from VTuber shitposting forum in Facebook. I guess the voices make her a little bit uncomfortable so she made the statement in the Twitter. The tweet basically said that she wasn't chosen. Also, as we who followed her would know, she is a sandwitch generation. She paid for her family. It shackled her for investing to her career. I don't want to comment on personal matter as the life of her is her own choices and dilemma. I don't know about her circumstances. I would like to comment from the musical side. I want to comment on why she wasn't picked from my personal view. Let's talk about the singing. Risu chose to have duality on her singing. Although this is a gift, this is not usual in the POP world. Because of that, she did not have a singing guide. She need to learn herself for that. That's why I understand why Studi Suara felt confused when she suddenl...

Do U - Takanashi Kiara (Korean version)

I really like this version more than the original. The producer patched the music making it more wholly produced. I also like how it was designed more towards K-Pop. What I don't like about the original was the vocal. Kiara has the voice like Kylie Minogue. But, the original sound made the sound distribution uneven. P-san made voice register in the mid-to-high frequency. With the original song towards that sound, I felt like Kiara's voice like nagging. Thankfully, P-san panning the sound more, spreading the sound left and right, making it a full ambience. Kiara now sound more like a musical instrument. My ears can accept her vocal. I am the proponent of vocal diversity. I love world music. Sonically, I think Kiara has that unique tone and as a producer, it comes with the challenge how to compose good music using that unique vocal. In the Korean version, P-san really brings out the vocal more. I wish they could add more layers. But, this is okay because I really do like Do U. ...
