Gawr Gura Graduation

Gawr Gura will graduating from Hololive. People make jokes that 4chan went down because of this graduation. Well, it's a running joke that Gawr Gura usually makes an appearance when something is gonna happen. We joked she streamed on the same time as Niji events.

Anyway, the graduation is a foregone conclusion. She rarely streamed. It seems because of her popularity, may be, she is being kept by Cover to stay.

It's already five years and it's also a good time for someone moving on from one job to the other. The kayfabe maybe making fans upset and sad. However, looking from job perspective, it's a normal time. I mean 5 year is a long time for working in a company.

So, let's get real here.

We have the pattern here that the US-based Hololive EN girls are getting graduations. Yagoo said that Cover wants to build an office in the US. This office seems related to business prospect and not the vtuber studio. So, I think it's understandable that the girls having issue with keeping up everything in Japan.

From company perspective, Cover already built an awesome facility in Japan. The Hololive English head director also in Japan. As per HoloID manager recruitment which based on Japan, I think Cover is taking the Niji route to concentrate its operation in Japan.

Almost all of the EN members are already in Japan.  Ina also in the process (?) to move to Japan but was getting bumped by her work visa. Only Ouro Kroni still in Kanada. Oh, btw, I think the Gura graduation is already in plan. My guts tells me that Kroni went to Indonesia was also a plan from Cover to do some development.

Aside from Hololive Indonesia, I think Cover may have a strategy to move all of Hololive members straight to Japan. I can understand its rationality. Talent drain going solo is a threat for their business.

All Hololive EN girls that recently graduating have something in common: they have built their own infrastructures. 

Lets look at Nimi Nightmare, previously known as Fauna. She was debuting at 18 January 2025 and her merch already there on day 1. They were sold out in two minutes time! 

It's all about business and that's okay. You were under a company. Then, when you feel you are stable, you go out and starts your own business.

Let's see it like that. Pure business. Not with that kayfabe-look. There is nothing wrong with people moving on. It's just your heart as a fan too much invested on that VTuber character.

Anyway,

I'm also getting a sense that Hololive English branch is having problem since day one. Did you remember about Omega? The top manager who have their own vtuber character? The one that makes Kiara and other member surprised and lamented?

They did not having their best experiences in Hololive. Kiara even mentioned that she envied ID for having close relationships with each other. I think the geography really plays.

This is also why I think the second reason Cover moved EN talents to Japan. I think this is a sound strategy. This enables the EN girls having physical meetup. They can have better management and studio access.

Why not Hololive Indonesia?

Well, from the old show, I can say that Hololive Indonesia is capable to have their own studio. I can tell you that without leaking anything further. It's an open secret about a member, but I won't spill it here.

Anyway,

It's already 5 years and as an Idol, Gawr Gura is in the right time to graduate and having new members taking her place. I know this is not a normal Idol and vtuber can go on forever. But, realistically speaking, Gura's contract is already taking its normal time. Her graduation is not forced but a normal cycle from Idol perspective.

Meh! I'm just talking nonsense there. I don't know what happened behind the screen. Just a speculation.
