A Guilty Pleasure

Hehehe... I like Dream Theater, Spheric Universe, Circus Maximus, and any kind of that. I love Epica, especially "The Last Crusade" song. I also love Queen, they are the best. The thing I love the most from a song is the way they played their instruments. They don't just play the song, they let us feel the song. Oh, and they are good players. I like Breaking Benjamin, Kyo "Le Chemin", and songs like that. I don't like House Music and Dance Dangdut (I do like dangdut, but not every dangdut) or any songs that played without skill. I don't like "copy and paste" music. You know, like some Hip Hop song which borrow their beat from another song. That's totally uncool. Or, songs with pop pattern - songs that you can feel that the song is like artificial, not a song through original songwriting. But, I ke gep lagi dengerin BCL. Hahaha.... Emang, sih, gw lagi demen lagunya BCL. Ahahaha... what a guilty pleasure. What's your guilty pleasure songs...

OpenVPN Client

Well, first I thought that OpenVPN people have discriminate non-Windoze people. They have OpenVPN client GUI that fit in tray. You just right click and connect. Hmm.. how to do that in GNU/Linux? Well, in GNU/Linux Ubuntu 8.04.1 in my laptop, I just set: # apt-get install network-manager-openvpn You can set the VPN connection according to your VPN network setting by right click on Network Manager tray. I apologize I can't provide screenshot. Seems like I can't print screen the desktop. [Confidential thingy...] A note about OpenVPN, the TAP option should not be selected because we can't use TAP device without root privilege. Dark Theme Friendly

Dear web developers, hear my cry. I have dark theme which I find amusing to the eyes of sleepless people. It goes well with my editing document and doing anything but accessing the website. I know that I can place my own CSS and override yours like what I do to my Opera. But, I do have sentimental feeling about the original artwork. So, I leave my Swiftfox as is. The problem is you CSS-ing the form box, but you forgot to CSS-ing its font. Now I can have a white form box with grey-to-nearly-white font. Neat. So, I would add an addendum for the consideration of building a good site is: Resolution: 1024x786 minimum for example. Browser: IE vs. the rest of the world's browser. Site user: visibility issues, disabled people, and demographic. Site owner: corporate site to personal blog. Theme the user use. There you go.

[POSTING TERLARANG] Error Updating Windows XP

My sister's laptop have weird things and can't run Windows Update. This may be do to the thing that I have a high incompatibility with any of Microsoft Windows products. My work PC can't boot with XP, the XP installation is corrupted no matter how many time I tried to reinstall it. So, I'm only using GNU/Linux Debian Unstable/Experimental. Lucky! :D Oh, btw, both my work and my sis' laptop are using legit XP Professional. My work PC is an HP Pavilion and my sis' laptop is using Lenovo. Anyway, the error code was: 0x80072efd, 0x80004002. Fix: 0x80072efd X=> Cannot connect to internet V=> Open the proxy tab in IE and delete any suspicious entry for exception 0x80004002 X=> Cannot spawn COM server V=> Install "Fix and Dial It" tools and run the exe. Just mark all checklist and go. (Well, XP is not my OS anyway, won't hurt if it's broken and I can tell my sis to use the true way) Anyway, now I am waiting to install SP3. Hopefully this ...
