This "I I I" cover version as the last gift from Kanata of Hololive before she graduated. It is a reinterpretation from the OG version by Marine and Kobo of Hololive.
This is a good vocal group song, IMHO.
- Uncle Dad (Mori) has becomes the anchor of the rapping.
- Liz also put restrainst on her voice blend well with others and her adlibs here and there is icing to the cake.
- Risu is playing well here with Kanata. I guess the Bansaka incident really because of the bad coordination. Her voice blends well with Kanata here.
- Niko being Niko. She's using her best voice here.
Kanata herself is not that dominant here. I guess this is like a story of a senior letting their junior shine? But, man, her voice is good here. I hope she gets well. She is one of the JP branch singer that I listen to.
Regarding Risu, I know I'm a bit bias here, but I felt that HoloID usually played the part of setting their voice according to their counterpart. Bansaka feels like Risu not support her teammates there which is weird. In "Anganku Anganmu", she supports Kobo and Moona well. In Countdown also she played well.
The audio quality feels like peak here and there. But, then again, I only uses 20 dollars headphone nowadays. I did try to use my monitoring headphone, but I feel that this song is not using full, feels like too much compression. Of course, this is because I benchmarked this with Bump of Chicken's Ray and Perfumet's Flash.
For this audio quality I have two suspects: either the encoding in Youtube not yet updated, or the mixing is wrong. Regading the Youtube, I feel lately many song's quality is getting better in few days after uploading. So, I reserve this judgement later may be in a week or two. I know this sounds weird, but I like to repeat the songs and found out that when I try to listen some new songs again the sound feels better.
If I can compare to the OG, I like both. This version has better audio balance than the OG because the OG feels too much treble for me. However, the OG has bigger swing in notes. This version has flatter notes. Both have their distinctive voicing which reflects on their singer.
