【Cover】Mass Destruction -P3fes Reload- / Mori Calliope × Pavolia Reine

I think this is one of the cover song that bested the OG songs. The two original songs: and  are good songs. But, the cover mixes more hard and the rap is more nuance than the OG songs. Btw, OG is a good song also. Farhan Sarasin as the instrumentalist goes hard to make the song like the legendary Doom Eternal OST, Mick Gordon's "The Only Thing They Fear is You"  which to me elevates the song hard. The song composition feels like the early Nu Metal sound of Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park, which makes it sounds familiar. The OG songs plays a little bit softer which to me a little bit off. I don't know, may be I just being used to listen to hard core electric music stuffs. One thing that stands out, Calli and Reine has the better style in rapping than the original. The original feels like a white rapper, sorry for the derogatary words in rap. Well, they all ain't black, but Calli and Reine rap has better sounding than the original. I don't want to bash the...

【Original Song】Multiverse【Moona Hoshinova】

If you asked me about the song that would be almost on par with Suise's "Stellar Stellar", this song is my pick. The style of Multiverse song is the reminiscent of fashion music. It would reminds me of any Apple ads. It reeks of confidence, something that would be casually played at the cat walk. My first hurdle to not put it as "the" song as a song, not a gimmick song sung by a VTuber persona is actually Moona's Japanese pronounciation. It would take me out from the song. I need to replay this song over and over just to get used to her dialects. However, the singing, the music, and the composing are top bangers! The only problem for me is the production need to be cranked up. I feel like the sound is a little bit clustered in the mid. Need a little bit panned.  I don't know if the issue is on the 1080p Premium YouTube video? Or, may be my headphone? Or, may be my 40+ years old ears that have deteriorated? So, I need to take EDM-esque songs in YouTube a...

WE PRAY - Coldplay, Elyanna, Little Simz, Burna Boy, TINI

The song is about how we fight for the better world and winning the battle inside of our mind. The most respect for me is coming from a line: ... And so we pray we'll be singing Baraye... Baraye is a song about women's right. No, it's a song about extreme feminism. It's a song about to view a women as humane as a man. I didn't know the song nor the history behind it. Reading through the Internet I was fascinated by it. It's amazing how Coldplay can attract the world to the issue just by that one line. This makes me respect Coldplay more.

【MV】Switch - Kanaia Asa JKT48V

From all of the three members of the JKT48V, Kana is the least member I watched. I didn't even know about her stream and stuff. However, this song is really the most impressive song out of the three of them in the term of the vocal. The vocal sound is very humane which goes well with me. I saw Sagi as the vocal director. No wonder it has the best vocal harmony. It gives its own flavor, a different flavor from the original JKT48. I kind of like it. But, the mixing is pale in comparison. I don't see any instrumentalist in the credits. Hmm... seems she was using the same music as AKB48 and JKT48 version. Too bad, IMHO. I have a dream, someday my ATH M50 headphone can be used. It was retired since Disc Tarra and Pondok Pujian shutted down. I have no source of good music and since Covid-19, I can no longer asked my friends who travels to Japan for buying me a CD. Kana with this kind of Acid Trance music really a good mix and the song really-really making me hope for good music. ...

【Cover】Hello You, Hello Me - Pia Meraleo JKT48V

Pia Meraleo of JKT48V released a cover song, "Hello you, hello me". It's a catchy song and I like how Pia sung the song. I have some notes about it. It's a catchy song with good instruments. Kinda like a happy-go-lucky Gospel song. Rather than making melodyne vocals, I wish Pia uses her voice to make the backing vocals. The rap part doesn't makes any sense, should have been rewritten to make sense. Pia has a unique vocal, I wish they not overly compress it. Let its features shine. Lol.

Belalang yang Membangkang - JKT48 Trainee

Belalang Yang Membangkang is the new song from JKT48 sung by their trainees. It is a song told from two perspectives, the parents who want their child grow to be a respectable person and the children who feel pressured because of the high expectation. Why I talked about this song? I kind of like how their song is different from the original AKB48 song . The original song is a synth wave song while this one is more into the hard rock. But, I think this song is really more to a vocaloid style. The unnatural chop feels like it was designed to be sung by a vocaloid like Ren or Miku. The video clip reminds me of OK GO - I won't let you own MV. That is one of my fave song and MV! No wonder I like this MV, lol.   Honestly, I don't like falsetto vocals these days on the song. I wish they sung with open vocal, at least for this type of song is proper to sing imbroglio, you know like Chumbawamba. Just try to push your vocal out to sing this emotional song, especially in the par...

You Are A Miracle

God can makes miracle. Jesus can walk on water. He can turns water into wine. He can makes the limp walks.  To me, those are not miracles. Those are not of my world. Sorry, but can I relate if that's not something happening in my life? Don't worry, I'm a believer now. You are the convincing reason that makes me believe that God's exists. I have a shoulder to lean on and I believe this is a miracle. When the world caved in on me, you are the thing that God shown what's a save refuge is. When people have their interests. Mine also the same. As such, you are the prove that God's love is real. You stands with me. I can wage the wars on the world. I am taking arms for fighting the better future. My eyes have return their colors. I now believe there is tomorrow. Thank you.

Everyone Lost to Death

We found and we lost. We smile and cry, we laugh it all the way. Nobody knows how you meant to me and me to you. At least that was what I know.  Now you have gone. I wish I can do things that you asked me to. But, to whom should I prove? You are already gone, graduated from this life. And I am the lost one here weeping. No one understands, no one care.  I don't blame them, they have their own pain and lost. The pain and misery is not exclusively mine. Not even the new person tried to understand. They jealous the memory of you. They want to override it. They want me to empty the space and put them there instead of you.  I am not alone. All of them also have that space that is reserved for their lost one. But why they insists on others?  Why can't they forgive me for they also don't let their space vacant? Yes, we all have that space in that little heart of us where we can't remove. Yeah, that's why trauma don't go away easily.  Can we delete it? Yes. We ca...

Moving On

I know lots of people think of this music is about the struggle of moving on from a failed relationships. The lyrics talked about how one knows doesn't mean one moves. We love to fall on the same pit, like a moth to the fire, like a deer on the headlight, like a cow into the slaughter house.  We refuse to move even when we know we should. There are strings attached to us.  - The blood, sweat, and sacrifice to get there. A struggle when you try to win the war. How you have detach all other things just to make this relationship works. - Another people who potentially could get the most damages, e.g. the children if this is a toxic marriage. - The pride when the condition is what one defines oneself unconsciously. This is when you have put your whole life to hate one common enemy.  The last one probably best about how you hate someone so much and so long that you have already forget the original reason.  And I think this is the best reason for the song. Saikai - LiSa x Uru (Moona x Suisei)

If there is one song that I like to listen over and over, it would be Saikai covered by Moona and Suisei. To me, this is the entry for me to like again Japanese songs and starts to take the vtubing industry as a legit music industry. I have liked the Japanese songs in the past, but grown tired because of their direction. They tend to milk much with royal road progression and the math rock-ish style. Feels like repeated theme over and over.  Because of that, I will know if it's a Japanese song or not. But, that made me tired of listening the same pattern. However, I do have a favorite band, Perfume. I collected their CDs by asking my friends who visited Japan. So, I don't think that I am totally off with the Japanese music. Of course, the pandemic stops my supply of CD and I don't have any room for more CDs. Anyway, back to the Hoshi duet... I found it interesting about how both of Suisei and Moona taking the approach. And how I am learning Japanese culture from this song...

Iofi - Here I Am

Iofi seems like to sing songs out of her league. This time, she's singing "Here I Am". Don't get me wrong, she indeed capable of singing this song, but she can't carry the song herself. She need a good producer who could help with the song production. First of all, instead of using electric piano, I would prefer the producer uses Grand Piano. The sound for single keyboard feels like a cheap PSR keyboard production. Second, yeah, I feel like this is on a MIDI production scale. The harmonization feels like being produced with the PSR keyboard. The adlib and harmonization should have been tinkered by Sagisapon or any human tuner. Dragged by MIDI-fied instrumental, Iofi need to make power voice. Unfortunately, she is on the Idolesque- soft tone. She need to have a power voice like Suisei in Stellar-Stellar.  I don't know why, I feel some of the Japanese producer doing half-hearted effort when doing most of the HoloID songs.  Like Zeta's You're Mine, the ...

Install Good Fonts in Fedora

I am against using unlicensed fonts. Please check the eligibility of each font that you want to use, especially for commercial purposes. Google Fonts Google share its fonts with us as they have a desire to make an open web. Google recommends to install its font using fnt which sadly not available in Fedora. Instead, we can go to sid.ethz.ch/fonts/ site to download the fonts we desire. It would download one family at a time. But, hey, a streamlined design use 2 fonts only, one for titles and headings and one for paragraph contents. Just download the RPM version. I think every desktop has its own RPM installer. We only need to click on the downloaded RPM to install. Microsoft Fonts There was a time when Microsoft desired an interopability web fonts. They shared some of their fonts to the world. I don't know what is the status of current license, but it is available for us to install at mscorefonts2 project. AFAIK, as long we don't distribute the fonts, it should be fi...

Quest for Ultimate Fonts

After some readings where I forgot to write down the source, I settled with these fonts for my desktop. All of them are open fonts and free for commercials so I won't get sued someday when I use them on my official document. All fonts are installed to my Fedora 40 KDE Spin. I put anti-aliasing on with sub-pixel rendering sets to RGB and little hinting enabled. Common Fonts For non-monospace fonts, I choose to install Inter font from Rasmus Andersson . This font is mostly included in the top list of many font reviewers for UI. And I agree, the font is gorgeous and it has the right space for my KDE Fedora laptop. I used Monospace For monospace a.k.a coding font, I go with IBM Flex Mono font . It's a good font developed by folks at IBM. To get it, I use sparse-checkout to checkout from Github. git clone --filter=blob:none --no-checkout https://github.com/IBM/plex.git cd plex/ git sparse-checkout set --cone git checkout master git sparse-checkout set packages/plex-mono/fonts...

Enabling OKD 4.15 on Fedora 40

I'm using the tutorial from this OKD on Fedora Workstation with CRC article. I skipped the first command because my KDE Spin already got a Network Manager. Later I found out that the CRC will install them when missing. The command I followed: wget https://developers.redhat.com/content-gateway/rest/mirror2/pub/openshift-v4/clients/crc/latest/crc-linux-amd64.tar.xz tar xvfJ crc-linux-amd64.tar.xz -C /tmp/ install /tmp/crc-linux-*-amd64/crc ~/.local/bin/crc At the time of writing, CRC is on version 2.37.1. And I have added my ${HOME}/.local/bin to my PATH in .bashrc Next setup: crc config set consent-telemetry no crc config set preset okd crc setup crc start This part I get this error: ... INFO Loading bundle: crc_okd_libvirt_4.15.0-0.okd-2024-02-23-163410_amd64... INFO Creating CRC VM for OKD 4.15.0-0.okd-2024-02-23-163410... INFO Generating new SSH key pair... Goodix Fingerprint Firmware on Dual Boot

I don't know why I still keep my Windoze 11 Pro. I mean, yeah, sure I legitimately own the license as it is pre-installed with the notebook. Someday I'll wipe clean. Anyway, dual boot in Windoze seems making the firmware in the fingerprint hardware getting resetted. So, I need to do these steps when I'm back at Fedora. Assuming you forget the library used install these: sudo dnf install gcc git python-pip python-devel openssl Assuming you don't know the original source code, clone this: git clone --recurse-submodules https://github.com/goodix-fp-linux-dev/goodix-fp-dump.git cd goodix-fp-dump The Real Thing That's Need to be Done Create an isolated Python environment: python -m venv .v source .v/bin/activate Do the magic: sudo su pip install -r requirements.txt python run_55b4.py exit Install The Correct Driver For Goodix fingerprint, need to install different libfprint version. sudo dnf copr enable d-k-bo/libfprint-goodixtls sudo dnf upgrade libfpri...

Fixing read-only Drive

I have a partition in NTFS so that I can put my whole documents there. Sometimes, Fedora mounts as read-only using fuseblk driver. The fuseblk seems like a kernel interface to all FUSE-based file system driver. It probably uses NTFS-3g. It seems it got nothing to do with my system. A quick search founds that it actually because the drive is marked as dirty. So, the system need to mount it read-only. TL;DR: To fix it: sudo ntfsfix /dev/nvme0n1p4 My laptop is running dual-boot. I still don't want to give up on the Windows Pro key. I mean, it's part of the cost that I spent to own the laptop. May be I would someday wipe it, but not now.

Installing Goodix Fingerprint Reader Driver on Fedora

I currently have a Lenovo Thinkpad L14 laptop equipped with fingerprint. I was `belok` from KDE Neon to use Fedora 40 because of someone. Now I am tempted to enable my fingerprint: lsusb | grep -i fingerprint Bus 001 Device 004: ID 27c6:55b4 Shenzhen Goodix Technology Co.,Ltd. Fingerprint Reader Dump the firmware Assuming this is a fresh install, lets do some magic by getting some dependencies: sudo dnf install gcc git python-pip python-devel openssl Let's get the source code: git clone --recurse-submodules https://github.com/goodix-fp-linux-dev/goodix-fp-dump.git cd goodix-fp-dump Create an isolated Python environment: python -m venv .v source .v/bin/activate Do the magic: sudo su pip install -r requirements.txt python run_55b4.py exit There are some python scripts available. I run run_55b4.py because my device ID is 27c6: 55b4 . It will spell some nonsense, which is a good thing. That nonsense actually the firmware captured by our device. Also, I typed exit becaus...
